During the late summer and early fall of 2023, I embarked on a stimulating creative journey as part of the AIA Healthiest Schools campaign for AIA Insurance Company. This remarkable project presented a unique opportunity to contribute to a campaign that aimed to promote health and wellness across the APEC region.
Project Scope
My role within this project was both exciting and challenging. I was entrusted with the task of creating six detailed illustrations and three captivating short-video reels to be featured on AIA's Instagram accounts. These assets played a pivotal role in conveying the campaign's message to a wide and diverse audience.
The Significance of Carousels: The carousels formed the cornerstone of our promotional strategy. These visually engaging sequences of images served as a dynamic means of communicating the essence of the campaign. Each illustration within the carousel had to encapsulate the core message while aligning seamlessly with the project's art direction.
Meeting the Challenge: One of the key challenges I faced during this project was ensuring that the illustrations not only adhered to the prescribed art direction but also conveyed rich, informative content. It was imperative to strategically place graphic elements that would enable viewers to instantaneously grasp the campaign's messaging with each swipe. This required a delicate balance between artistic creativity and effective communication.
The Power of Reels: In addition to the carousels, my creative contributions extended to crafting three short-video reels. These reels were designed to take the campaign's message a step further by providing a more interactive and immersive experience for the audience. It was a fascinating endeavor to translate the visual style and emotional resonance of the illustrations into a dynamic video format.
